The soup that we didn't know was Greek until we found it in the definitive cookbook! Yummy and as simple as can be.

One Saturday as newly opened, we arrived early in the morning only to realize that the "house-simmered stock" had not been prepared. Devastated we wracked our heads and came up with "Fava Style Soup". Only because Fava is prepared with golden split peas and we grew up eating Split Pea Soup we made the jump. Two months later we found it in our favorite cookbook: the chef grew up eating it in Greece. We still get more calls for the availability of that soup than any other. It's Anna's favorite winter breakfast.
